Firm plans educational activities for 25th anniversary

Fertility and In vitro fertilisation treatment centre, Bridge Clinic, Ikeja, Lagos, has said it will celebrate its 25th anniversary with educational programmes.

While speaking on the anniversary, Managing Director, Bridge Clinic, Mr Sunny Ekhalume, said, education was the bedrock of the society, adding that several impactful education activities had been lined up to celebrate the anniversary.

 He said, “To mark our 25th anniversary, Bridge Clinic has planned a series of celebratory events and initiatives throughout the year, including educational campaigns, patient outreach programs, and a health walk.

“We are immensely proud to celebrate 25 years of serving our patients and bringing joy to families. Our first set of twins celebrated their 24th birthday sometime this year. We have babies conceived at Bridge Clinic, now at various ages of life scattered all around the world and doing excellently well in their different spheres. Our journey has been marked by innovation, excellence, and a steadfast commitment to our patients’ well-being. As we look ahead, we remain dedicated to advancing reproductive healthcare and empowering individuals and couples to build the families they desire.”

Ekhalume added that Bridge Clinic was founded in 1999 by Dr Richardson Ajayi.

He highlighted that as the first fertility clinic in the country, it had achieved numerous pioneering feats, including “The first conception and birth by Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection in Nigeria in the year 2000, the first conception and birth from surgically collected sperm in Nigeria in the year 2000.

“First conception and birth through IVF surrogacy in Nigeria in 2003, the first conception and birth through oocyte cryopreservation in Nigeria in 2003, and in 2004, Bridge Clinic became the first fertility clinic in West Africa to introduce a Quality Management System, ensuring the safety and well-being of all clients.”
