People are always surprised by the astounding natural magnificence and astounding man-made wonders that may be witnessed on Earth. In this world, though, there are still unanswered questions. If you enjoy visiting places with interesting histories or places where strange things have happened, then this island in Kenya may be right up your alley.
The largest unresolved mystery in the world is located on the island of Envaitenet, which is off the coast of Kenya and means “no-return” in the language of the el Molo people. The inhabitants of the small, skinny island avoid going there because they think it is cursed and that anyone who enters it will vanish without a trace.
They stay away from the island due to their beliefs. Some of the people who had planned to travel to the island but didn’t act so reportedly altered their minds.
However, the vast majority of the community believes that anyone who enters the large crater in the center of the island will be struck by thunder and lightning if they do. Some people in Kenya believe that aliens kidnap anyone who approaches the island too closely.
Several aerial photographs of the area show a building that looks to be a cabin in the island’s center. We have no way of knowing what or who might be there because no one has ever been able to enter those bunkers and come out unscathed.
Fishing, hunting, and trading local specialties with people who lived elsewhere were once some of the ways that some of the inhabitants of the island made a living. However, for some reason, they stopped doing so.
